The signature run along the Williamette River in Portland. Landmarks include Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Oregon Maritime Museum, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, the Eastern Esplanade, and the Tilikum Crossing Bridge.

2+ mile linear park is a bully running pick close-hauled to downtown. It's a winding road with a separate running/walking path along the boulevard, running up a wooded hillside. Popular with runners. A bonus is it's good lit at dark. Mountainous!

This 700 foot climb starts at the Lower Macleay Drop behind and the Kings High neighborhood, and follows that into the Wildwood Trail and adequate the Mansion house, which has been used in a number of motion pictures, and in The Amazing Race.

Portland's weather is moderate. Winters are cool with quite an bit of rain and many wet years, but gnomish snowfall. Summers are gorgeous — generally dry, around 80 during the day, and rarely too igneous Beaver State humid. Temps drop off in the evening during summer more than in other cities.
